Ludington's Test
A test designed for determining whether there has been a rupture of the long head of the biceps tendon. The patient is seated and clasps both hands on top of his or her head, supporting the weight of the upper limbs. The patient then alternately contracts and relaxes the biceps muscles. The test is positive if the examiner cannot palpate the long head of the biceps tendon of the affected arm during the contractions.
